LG Arena And LG Cookie Compared – KM900 Vs KM900 Touchscreen Phones

The LG KM900 Arena as well as the LG KP500 Cookie are both launches from the LG stable. Even though the Arena is a multimedia smart phone, the Cookie is being sold as a camera smart phone.

Design

The KM900 includes a sleek and stylish metallic casing and it has a tempered glass scratch resistant protection because of its touch screen. The KP500 however has a soft feel plastic casing which looks propitious without being tacky. Its rectangular form is prosaic. Both phones have a 3 inch touchscreen display. The Cookie is incredibly light at 89grams plus more pocket friendly compared to the Arena.

User Interface

The LG Arena includes a brand new 3D interface which has a cube capable of being rotated with finger swipes. While using cube you can access four menu screens that various applications can be easily opened. The LG Cookie interface however is simple, intuitive, easy to use and tactile sensitive. It’s 2 home screens one housing seven commonly used application widgets as well as the other with 4 menu themes namely communication, entertainment, Utilities and Settings.

Memory and Battery

The LG KM900 includes a memory capacity of a generous 8GB memory which can be further expanded by 16GB if you use the Micro SD slot card. The LG KP500 has an internal memory of only 48MB which can be expanded by as much as only 8GB while using micro SD card slot. The LG Arena includes a talk time of 3 hours 50 minutes along with a standby time of 300 hours whereas the LG Cookie includes a talk time of 3.5 hours along with a stand by time of 350 hours.

Other Features

The Arena includes a 5 Mega pixel camera that blows off of the 3 Mega pixel camera from the Cookie. The KM900 camera has auto focus and flash attributes to enhance picture quality. The KP500 includes a 2 times digital zoom for better image capture. Both phones be capable of record high quality videos. The LG Arena has an outstanding image gallery for browsing pictures taken on the phone.

The Arena has an audio player along with a video player, is a multimedia centric phone and contains incorporated sophisticated Dolby technology to ensure that the best quality sound is emitted while playing car stereo. The LG Cookie to includes a music player that supports MP3/AAC/AAC+/AAC++/WMA formats along with a video player too. Both handsets have FM radio.

The KM900 Arena supports various games. Java games is available onto the phone. The KP500 Cookie too does not ignore the gamers’ interests and supports Java games. The LG Arena provides a speedy internet knowledge about its 7.2 HSDPA, Wi Fi, WAP , EDGE and 3G support The Cookie’s internet browsing is assisted only by internet technologies like WAP and EDGE. Both phones have GPS and Blue Tooth connectivity.

Although LG Cookie is a decent touch screen camera phone, the LG Arena is more powerful in the communication, camera and multimedia arenas.
